a summer catch-up + happy friday

After a long time spent unplugged, I'm back.  I've tried hard to figure out how to avoid the ubiquitous I'm back blogging post, but I've come to the conclusion that it's best to just dive right back in to this little world I created and then stepped back from.

Summer is slowly fading here in the south and I can feel the tiniest bit of fall in the air and see it ever so slightly in the light.  Since the last post on my blog was about swimwear, I figured I'd catch up first with some fall-ish links to love.

I stocked up fun bracelets at Forever 21.  This one, this one and this one!

Back-packs are back!  Paul used this one (in gray) on our trip to San Francisco.

Linda Rodin, you're the coolest.  And those silver boots!

Zara! Online!  Whoo-hoo!  p.s. Don't miss their Dear America photo series. It is beautiful.

This trench is already on my Christmas list.  But Oh! How I want it for fall : )

Our cousin's use these adorable bins for their daughter's toys.  The fox is too cute (and fall-ish!)

My favorite fall purchase.  Great inside a purse + on it's own!

After two months away, there is lots to catch up on!  Here's a little look-see into what's been going on in my world since July (!)....

We helped Dad rest + heal...

I started finding some of Dylan's hidden treasures...

And Dylan started creating awesome rock arrangements.  Like this one...

And this one...

And found a BIG ship + cleaned it up!

We tried our best to beat the heat...

And savor the little rain we got...

We experienced a serious, border-line upsetting, bubble obsession.

We built a fence!

And re-arranged...

We celebrated the 4th!

And played some blues...

Caught our first fish!

Became an outlaw...

And a fireman...

Will came over to play!

We rode the carousel...

And found sweet notes from Dad...

Built a little airplane...

This poor guy (and his two buddies) croaked...

I turned 30 (!) and we went on a trip to San Francisco!

We watched the big airplanes....

And rode on our very first one...

We drove over a cloudy Golden Gate...

And up and down lots of big hills...

We played with cousin Cate....

And fell in love with the City of Love...

We drove down the 1 to Point Reyes.  Where Paul and I got in engaged!

And stopped to smell the flowers along the way...

We played on a foggy, deserted California beach...

And walked the San Francisco hills with Cate, Uncle Hank and Aunt Jillie

And then, just like that, we were homeward bound...

Now that we're home: work, school and, this year, soccer!  Dylan starts practice next week and I can't wait to see what happens.

Have a happy weekend, wherever you are.  All the love in the universe to you + yours.

p.s. a full San Francisco post next week!

  1. Steph! This is so precious. My heart was breaking at Dylan's cuteness (his treasure collection really reminded me of myself)! Great post!
